Unlock Dr. Mario
Finish Simple (Classic) Mode on any
difficulty setting without losing a life as Mario.
Note: Dr. Mario is a Mario clone just with different looks...in other words he
has the same moves except for his b attack...in which normally if playing as
Mario when you press B he'll shoot a fireball. While playing as Dr. Mario he'll
throw a pill instead.
Unlock Falco
Finish the 100 Man Spar mode (under Colesseum.)
Note: Falco, is to Fox as Dr. Mario is to Mario. In other words, Falco is a
clone of Fox...he has all the same moves except for his B attack. Falco's B
attack is just a stronger version of Fox's B attack.
Unlock Gannondorf
The only requirement is that you clear Event 29 in Event
Mode. This requires you to beat some other events. Just keep beating
events until 29 is playable. In event 29 you, Link, and your ally, Zelda, try to
beat Ganondorf. IT is rather hard if you are not used to Link, but don't
give up.

Note:Gannondorf isnt an exact copy of Captain Falcon but his moves are sorta
based on C. Falcons moves. However they are much stronger
Unlock Jigglypuff
Simply beat the game...with any character, any difficulty
setting and continues can be used.
Note: Jigglypuff's moves are the same as they were in SSB
Unlock Luigi
Beat Stage One of Adventure mode with a time in which the
number of seconds ends in a 2. One example is with 4:12 seconds left
before time runs out. On the next stage the game will play a scene of
Luigi jumping off Mario's head to get into the fight. Beat him and Peach
in under 45 seconds. Clear the rest of the adventure mode and Luigi will
challenge you. Defeat him to unlock him.
Also reported as:
Complete Adventure Mode as Pikachu. Pikachu's box on the
select screen will be pushed down and will occupy a ? box. Luigi will take his
place on the select screen.
Note: Luigi's moves are different from the way they were in SSB but his B moves
are pretty much the same.
Unlock Mewtwo-(This ones going to
take a lot of time and alot of aspirin...)
Play VS mode 700 times or play VS mode for 20 hours
Note: Mewtwo has his own set of moves:

him to play as him.

Young Link is the same as Link except he has a higher
voice, so don't kill yourself trying to get this one. Beat classic mode
with ten characters. Link and Zelda must be among the ten characters.
Note: Yep you guessed it; an adult Link clone
Easy Roy and Marth trick
First Go to vs. mode Put cpu as Yoshi with no handicap then Put stock on only
one life. Now start with the person you're worst with and kill yoshi with every
character (best person last) Marth will challenge you win you have Marth. Now Go
to Classic And use Marth don't die once and Roy will challenge you win and (Roy
is awesome) you now have him.
Unlock Pichu
You must first unlock both Luigi and Falco. Now, go and
complete Event #37. Once winning, Pichu will become playable.
Note:For 500 dollars what is pichu?????
You got it!!! A pikachu clone.
Unlock Marth
Play 70 rounds in VS. Mode
or
Play with all 14 DEFAULT characters in VS. Mode.
Note: I do have a list of some of his moves though:
Charge Slash - B
A charge up sword slash.
Sword Uppercut - B + Up
Sword uppercut move
Counter Attack thing. - B + Down
If you are attacked, he slashes right back at the attacker.
Combo thing. - B + Over
A triple sword combo attack.
Unlock Roy
Beat Classic mode without losing a life with Marth.

Note: Roy is a Prince Marth clone except his moves use the element of fire in

Once unlocking Mr. Game & Watch, finish his Event
(which is also unlocked) and you'll unlock his stage.
Pikmin Trophy
If you start up SSB:M with a Pikmin save on your memory
card you will get a free pikmin trophy.
Unlock more Events in Event Mode
You can unlock more events in Event Mode. Unlock Falco and
Luigi to gain access to events 30~39. Unlock all of the hidden characters to
gain access to events 40~50.
Unlock Sound Test
Beat all 51 of the event mode stages
Alternate Stage Music
Hold down L/R while selecting a stage in Multiplayer Mode and keep either it
held until the match starts. If done properly, the stage will have different
music than usual. Here are the stages this trick works on:
- Great Bay (play's Saria's Song)
- Icicle Mountain (a theme from Balloon Fight)
- Temple (a theme from Fire Emblem)
- Yoster Island (a theme from Super Mario Bros. 3)
- Onett (the theme for the Fourside stage)
- Pokémon Stadium (a theme from Pokémon Gold & Silver)
- Classic Kingdoms 1 & 2 (a theme from Dr. Mario)
- Big Blue (a theme from Mach Rider)
- Battlefield (the 100 Man Spar (1) theme)

Ness's PSI Magnet
Ness's PSI Magnet allows him to regenerate energy when struck by an energy-based
attack. This feature makes it a lot easier to stage a heroic comeback in Stock
Mode.

To unlock the secret Dragon Temple game, play as either Marth or Roy. You must
beat the All star mode on the hardest difficulty without
using a continue. (Or at least I didn't use one). Might work if u use a continue

To unlock this level, play VS.mode 150 times

Go to adventure and beat the first stage with a 2 in the seconds place. Like
5:82 see how there is a 2 in the seconds place.
Unlock Big Blue
Big Blue is captain falcons second stage. To unlock just simpley play vs. mode
200 times. This is a very good stage. for alternate music hold l and r before
choosing the stage.
Daisy (Princess Peach's sister)
To be Daisy in battle, select Peach before the battle. Then press X and L until
Peach appears with brown hair and a yellow dress.
Get another brinstar stage
Play VS mode over 50 times and their will be a note saying you won the stage
Captain Olimar Trophy
To get the captain olimar trophy, begin a super smash bros. melee game with a
pikmin save on your memory card.Now that was easy.
How to earn coins
Most matches in Super Smash brothers melee award you between 1 and 20 small
coins depending upon the amount of damage you deal and the number of KO's you
score during the match.Ten small coins equal one coin.
All star match schedule
Some people might want to know the all star match schedule it is Match 1-4 is 1
opponet per match.Match 5-8 is 2 opponents per match. Match 9-12 is 3 opponents
per match. Then Match 13 is 1 opponent (mr.game and watch x 25
How to fight Giga bowser and get his trophy
If you complete the Adventure match on Normal, Hard, or Very Hard
difficulty within 18 minutes and do not continue Giga bowser appears, after you
fight regular bowser. Giga bowser is a monstrous version of bowser. Defeat
bowser to get the Giga bowser trophy.
Best people to use on the sand bag contest
I have found by using yoshi i have gotten over 1,516 ft on the contest. First
grab the bat then jump over the sand bag and press down (B) do this repeatidly
and very very quicklythen hit the sand bag.
Then Fox, use his ray gun after you grab the bat use the ray gun repeatidly
because it doesnt move the bag but it still hurts it. Then smack it.
Alternate ways to unlock characters
Jigglypuff: play 50 or more rounds of vs. mode or beat 1 player mode with any
character
Dr. Mario: play 100 or more rounds of vs. mode or clear 1 player mode with Mario
using no continues
Pichu: play 200 or more rounds of vs. mode or clear event match 37
Falco: play 300 or more rounds of vs. mode or survive the 100-man melee
Young Link: play 400 or more rounds of vs. mode or clear either classic mode or
adventure mode with ten characters
Ganondorf: play 500 or more rounds of vs. mode or clear event match 29
Marth: play 600 or more rounds of vs. mode or use all 14 default characters is
vs. mode
Mewtwo: play 700 or more rounds of vs. mode or play vs. mode for 20 hours
Luigi: play 800 or more rounds of vs. mode
Roy: play 900 or more rounds of vs. mode
Mr. Game & Watch: play 1000 or more rounds of vs. mode
Event 50
First, select Yoshi. Then, when you start quickly keep doing the *Midair A Down*
attack which makes Yoshi kick his feet in the air. First do it on the Master
Hand (the one to the right). Do not attempt to attack Crazy Hand (the one to the
left). Continue to do the Midair A Down until until master hand is defeated. Now
repeat the same thingon crazy hand to beat the event.
Event 51
Select Jigglypuff, start by flying up to bowser head (almost in it) and do the
(B Down attack on him, you'll start sleeping but get hit by either mewtwo or
ganondorf. Continue hitting Bowser with the B Down until he lost his 3 lives.
Now stay to the edge of the stage allowing ganondorf (and Mewtwo) to follow you.
Start flying by the side, a little off the stage and allow gannondorf (and
Mewtwo)to get to the edge where you are and ganondorf will try to jump and grab
you (up and b is the attack he uses), then immediatly press L or R to dodge him.
He'll fall off the stage and die. Do it repeatedly until he lost his 3 lives.
Then defeat Mewtwo by hand. Hint: When Mewtwo is off the stage trying to get
back, do your smash attack.

unlock ganondorf:beat event match 29 or play vs mode 600 times.
unlock young link:beat classic mode with 8 chacters,link,and zelda.
unlock dr. mario:beat classic mode without losing a stock as mario.
unlock falco:clear the 100 multi man melee mode.
unlock pichu:clear event match 37 or play vs mode 200 times.
unlock luigi:clear the first part of mushroom kingdom with a 2 in the seconds
place (example 3:32)or play vs mode 800 times.
unlock jigglypuff:just beat classic or adventure mode with anybody on any
difficulty.
unlock mewtwo:play vs mode 700 times or get 20 hours in combined vs play time.
unlock marth:play vs mode with every original characters or play vs mode 70
times.
unlock roy:clear classic or adventure with marth

The 3 types of trophies
trophies earned in classic mode: these tell you about the characters past, and
when they first appeared.
adventure mode: these tell about your characters strengths and their weaknesses.
these also tell your characters B and B+side moves
All star: these get detailed into telling you how to use your characters in
battles. they also tell your characters B+down and B+up moves

Sandbag trophy: get over 1,000 ft in home run contest
fighting wire frames trophy: beat 15 minute man melee
target trophy (not the store): beat target test with all 25 characters.
Giga bowser trophy: beat giga bowser

Good hitters
Dk:use your headbutt to bury sandbag in the ground.then attack with the hand
slap.when the time reaches 1, use the bat
Fox:just use his blaster. its that simple. when the time reaches 1, hit sandbag
with the bat.
Yoshi: jump a little in the air(give X or Y jump buttons a slight push) and in
the air, use yoshi's down a attack. then sock sandbag with the bat when the time
reaches 1
