Over the weekend one of the GameCube Connection's best went out to conquer the Nintendo Cube Club. GCCheadhoncho: "Nintendo's Cube Club was very lively and was a lot of fun. Leave it to Nintendo to put on such a great 'party' promoting some of the upcoming games for their GameCube and Game Boy Advance. There were 28 different games available to play. I hit just about all of them, but did not get to play Die Hard: Vendetta, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, and Resident Evil 0. I was thoroughly impressed with all of the games that I got around to play. The games that really impressed me were Zelda, Metroid, and Mario Sunshine. As soon as I stepped into the doors of the Cube Club, my eye caught the new Zelda. I did not get to play it right away since there were so many people around it waiting to play. I played Knockout Kings 2003 and the new 1080 snowboarding game. I was not all that into these games though because I kept looking back, waiting for Zelda to have an opening for me to get my hands on the controller. When there was finally a spot open, I chose the 'level' that I wanted to play. The cel-Shading was amazing and made me want to laugh at anyone that had doubted the new look. Soon I was Deeply immersed in the great game play that I remembered from the other Zelda games. I had chosen an area with a large boss that I had to beat. All the elements that made Ocarina of Time so great were back and so many new elements have been added. After I got myself to let go of the controller so that the next person in line could play, I headed over to Mario Sunshine. It did not take long for the person ahead of me to put down the controller so I could have a chance to play. I already own this title, but every time I see the game I feel that I need to play it some more. Great tunes, awesome moves, unique game play that no other game has... it is just so great that it amazes me every time I play it. Next, I headed over to Metroid. I got in line and waited for my turn. Once I got the controller I began to move Samus around the screen, getting used to the controls. The controls were very simple though, so it did not take long. I made my way through the easy part of the level, which was actually a short tutorial, I made my way to areas where I needed to morph into the ball. This was a great element in the game, making it faster to get around. The Graphics were amazing, the sound was great, and everything that I loved about Super Metroid is back and better than ever." Here are some pictures of all of the great stuff that was free at the Cube Club... Lots of free stuff.......
