Gccheadhoncho's  Review

I would just like to say that I was a little saddened by the new look when I first saw it.  Sure all of the cell shaded games that had come out were cool, but nothing in this genre had been done.  I was not sure how it would all turn out.  But, I did not doubt that it would be a good game, because I never doubt Nintendo.

Back in November I went to the Cube Club in my area and I had my first look at the game.  It looked amazing, but I still was not sure how it was all going to fit together in the end.  When I received the game I was very excited to play it.  I put the disc in my GameCube and then I was in complete bliss.  Everything fit together so perfectly.  As I played the game in the fist couple hours that I had the game, I realized that there was so much going on in the background.  Every little detail that needed to be in the game was there.  I don’t think that Wind Waker could have been done in any other way.

Graphics: Let me just say…WOW!  The cell shaded, or cartoon shaded, graphics look simply amazing.  Who knew that they could be done so creatively?  The graphics really make you feel like you are in Link’s world.  Everyone that you meet is different and no one looks the same.  Links eyes, although they are big, are just so amazing.  They truly make you feel that link is real.  His eyes move towards the things that will help you figure out certain puzzles.  Every dungeon you enter has something unique about it. Lastly, I would just like to say that this is the most creative game that I have ever played, as far as the graphics are concerned.

Control:  The game controls perfectly.  You can control the camera with the C-stick, which makes it much easier to look around.  As far as what moves link can do, such as with his sword, they are pretty much the same as Ocarina of time, but are rearranged to work with the GameCube Controller.

Sound:  A lot of the music is the same music that is in all of the Zelda games.  There is lots of new music and it fits well with the game. If you have surround sound, it will help you find some of the villains.  I have to say that I really enjoy the music in this game.

Conclusion:  The graphics are amazing.  If you doubted the cell shaded look, you will really be amazed on how they turned out.  The music is catchy and there are a lot of classic tunes that you will remember from the other Zelda games.  This is honestly one of the best games to date.
