The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time & Master Quest

The Story:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest is special version of Ocarina of Time that was only made available to players who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The game features more challenging dungeons, tougher puzzles and the familiar Ocarina storyline.

As a young boy, Link was tricked by Ganondorf, the King of the Gerudo Thieves. The evil human used Link to gain access to the Sacred Realm, where he placed his tainted hands on Triforce and transformed the beautiful Hylian landscape into a barren wasteland. Link was determined to fix the problems he helped to create, so with the help of Rauru he traveled through time gathering the powers of the Seven Sages. After a grueling quest, Link eventually faced Ganondorf, and watched as the wicked soul transformed into Ganon. When the battle was over, Link had successfully sealed Ganon in the Dark World.

Gccheadhoncho's  Review

As I started up my GameCube, I felt like I was somehow back in 1998. I remembered when I had saved up my money to buy the original version of the game back when it was on the N64. When I started a new game on Master Quest I could not wait to see what I could remember in the game. The game seemed so familiar, but it was not exactly how I remembered it. The first dungeon was mixed up. I was not sure what to do. A little while later, after I had beat the first dungeon, I moved onto the next part of the game. As I moved through the game, there were many things that I remembered, but all of the dungeons were re-done, nothing in the dungeons were the same.

Graphics: The game is clearer than it was on the N64.  The game runs in a higher resolution, which makes the game look much smoother.  In 1998, the games graphics were revolutionary, but are a bit outdated for the GameCube.  But what can we say, it was FREE!

Control:  The controller setup is different from the N64 version, which makes sense since it is a different controller.  The setup is very easy to get used to, even if you have not played a GameCube before.  Link moves very smoothly and he is very easy to control

Sound:  Who doesn't like “Zeld Music”…

Conclusion:  Very clean graphics, a little outdated for the GameCube.   Classic Zelda style puzzles and large dungeons to beat.  One of the best games ever released now on the Nintendo GameCube, what more could a person ask for?  This is an outstanding game.
