After taking the Blitz
mechanics to another sport (hockey), it was an instant hit.
It is made for those of you who do not like the normal sports games, but
like arcade sports games. The
outrageous game-play and stunning graphics make the game so much more fun than
the rest of the hockey games out on the market.
Many sports games are only fun when playing with a friend,
but with NHL Hitz 2003, this is not the case.
It is a game of skill and fast thinking. So if you are not into the normal hockey games out, you
better not over look this one.
Graphics:
Players and the
ice are made very well. The
audience could have been a little better, because at the beginning of a game
they stick out like a sore thumb. Other
than the crowd though….It looks great….
Control:
The controls are
fairly simple and easy to master. Controls
should take around 10-20 minutes to master.
(The button that lets you knock a guy out of the rink is my favorite!)
Sound:
In game Jukebox
featuring hit songs from Limp Bizkit, Korn, Fuel, Staind and more.
This game has the perfect music for this “smash ‘em and bash ‘em”
hockey game.
Conclusion:
This is a
great game to play by yourself, or with friends.
It has great music to “slam” to.
Being able to add up points for every game you win and put them towards
new stadiums and players is a great extra.
